Loaf and Ladle is opened every Saturday from Noon till 2:00 PM

Loaf and Ladle is hosted by St. Paul's Episcopal Church. It is a communinity collaboration with many of the local churches in Holley, NY working together to provide food and fellowship to those in need.

Each of the participating churches provides volunteers who:

    Kitchen Volunteers Help With:

  1. preparing the weekly meals
  2. Clean up of kitchen after serving

    Waiting Staff Volunteers Help With:

  1. Setting the tables
  2. Serve and welcome the guests
  3. Clean up of serving area
Both the Kitchen and Waiting Staff volunteers help in clean up at the end of the day.

Loaf and Ladle Community Kitchen Receives Award

Award by DeWitt Clinton Masonic

On Saturday, May 8, 2004, members of the Board of Directors of the Loaf and Ladle Community Kitchen were the guests of the Masonic Social Lodge #713 of Kendall, NY. They were treated to a delicious meal and later on in the evening were presented with an award.

The award that the Loaf and Ladle Community Kitchen received was the DeWitt Clinton Masonic Award for Community Service. The award states that it is given "in recognition of outstanding service to the community which exemplifies the ancient Masonic teaching of concern for the well-being of Mankind and belief in the worldwide brotherhood of Man."

Mr. John Thomas, Chairperson of the Board of Directors for the Loaf and Ladle Community Kitchen also received the DeWitt Clinton award in recognition of his service to the running of the Loaf and Ladle Community Kitchen.
